These working papers examine public investment planning and financing strategy for DRR in a review of countries in the Southwest Indian Ocean region. It is part of a UNISDR project called “Strengthening Capacities for Unified Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction Through the Facilitation of Risk Transfer and Finance Mechanisms” within the “ISLANDS Programme for Financial Protection against Climatic and Natural Disasters.”
