Description
The DFID- GFDRR report “Solving the puzzle: where to invest to understand risk” was developed in collaboration with the disaster risk management (DRM) community through a series of consultations, written contributions, and online canvassing efforts. The report identifies activities that promote the ability of developing countries to assess their risk and then develop and communicate actions in response to their improved understanding.
The purpose of this meeting was to provide key influencers within the DRM community an opportunity to discuss the recommendations that have emerged from the report, as well a chance to form consensus on, and endorse, the actions identified in the report.
