Position Description
The Project Officer shall liaise with government agencies, local authorities and communities, and other partners for implementing RIMES activities in Myanmar’s Dry Zone; contribute to forecast information user need assessments; assist in facilitating participatory processes for evaluating vulnerabilities and risks to various hazards; organize training workshops; and assist in facilitating processes for user uptake of customized climate information in planning and decision-making for resource management and disaster risk reduction.

- Monthly base salary negotiable, commensurate with qualifications

Qualifications
Knowledge
Bachelor’s, preferably Master’s, degree in rural development, social science, or allied disciplines; knowledge on the application of climate information in planning and decision-making is desired, but not required.
Experience
At least 4 years relevant experience, particularly in coordinating work with different stakeholders at various levels and in facilitating participatory processes.
Skills and Abilities
Proficiency in Burmese and English languages in oral and written communication.
Personal Qualities
Excellent inter-personal skills; flexibility and ability to work hard independently and in a team; self-motivated, with ability to prioritize work, multi-task, meet deadlines, and manage changingpriorities.
