Summary: This interactive session has two objectives: It will present how the CREWS initiative in the Caribbean led by World Bank with WMO and UNISDR is building early warning systems into local, national and regional disaster risk management systems; and
It will engage participants into an innovative reflection on how reducing the uncertainty around the impacts of disasters with better predictive capacity can reduce the costs of extreme events.
