Cheryl Dixon: Coordinator, Environmental Sustainability Unit, Projects Department, Caribbean Development Bank
Cheryl Dixon is the Coordinator and lead Environmental Specialist at the Caribbean Development Bank and has more than 35 years of professional experience in natural resources management and environmental management.
Ms. Dixon joined the Caribbean Development Bank in 1992 and spearheaded the development of operational policies for Disaster Risk Reduction, Environmental and Social Review Procedures, and Climate Resilience. As Coordinator of the Environmental Sustainability Unit, her role includes ensuring that all investments are in agreement with, promote and are consistent with these policies. She is responsible for providing strategic direction with respect to the implementation of the Bank’s Environment, Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Resilience mandate in all sector, country policies and strategies. She is a member of the Bank’s Enterprise Risk Committee and serves as the Bank’s focal point for the Green Climate Fund, Adaptation Fund and Climate Action Lines of Credit. Ms. Dixon holds degrees from the University of the West Indies, and the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom.
