UNISDR and the Swiss Confederation commissioned a study under the “Global Disaster Loss Collection Initiative” using DesInventar. Through a literature review, database analysis and a survey the report aims to present disaster impact results and draws lessons from the disaster damage and loss data gathering process and the use of these databases.
